The Essence of the Moonlight Tarot Deck - the consort to the Starlight Tarot Oracle Deck
Moonlight Tarot is not just a set of cards; it embodies a philosophy. The moon has long been associated with emotions, intuition, and the subconscious. When combined with tarot reading, it allows practitioners to delve deep into their inner selves. Each card drawn under the glow of the moon reflects the user's feelings and thoughts at that moment, unveiling hidden truths and illuminating life's path. The cards have a watery, emotional aesthetic with a slippery feel to reflect this lunar aesthetic. Additionally, the cards have a holographic coating applied to the face so they shimmer and glisten, like the water does when bathed in moonlight.
The influence of moonlight enhances the symbolism of tarot cards, turning each reading into a powerful experience. The quiet beauty of lunar light inspires reflection and connects the reader with the spiritual realm. When practicing with the Moonlight Tarot, it's essential to embrace this connection and allow it to guide you in your readings.
The moon represents emotions, the unconscious, and intuition - you know things. Trust yourself. The answer is inside of you, and it's the right answer, even if your head doubts it.

How to Begin Your Journey with Tarot Cards
Starting your journey with Tarot involves a few simple steps. First and foremost, you'll want to choose a deck of tarot cards that resonates with you. There are numerous designs available, with varying themes and artwork. Whether you're drawn to intricate illustrations or minimalist designs, select a deck that speaks to your intuition. Don't fall for old wives tales about your first deck being given to you. That's just spiritual mumbo jumbo, likely from people who don't read cards. If you love it, and you want it - BUY IT.
Next, set the stage for your reading. Find a quiet and comfortable space where you can focus without distractions. Setting up an altar can also enhance the atmosphere, using items that hold personal significance to you. Candles, crystals, or even fresh flowers can create a serene environment. The whole point is to calm your mind so you can hear your intuition (your inner moon).
Once you're ready, it’s time to engage with your tarot cards. You might consider performing a calming ritual or simply take try using them on a day your mind feels quiet, calm, and happy. A confident mental state can can amplify your reading, helping you connect more deeply with the interpretations of the cards, as the ego is offline and your own truth has space to surface.
Understanding the Symbols
Tarot cards are rich with symbolism, and understanding these symbols is crucial for effective readings. Each card has its own unique meaning, often influenced by its position in a spread and the cards surrounding it. Here are a few key symbols commonly found in tarot that are particularly relevant:
The Major Arcana: think of these cards like powerful energies, major themes, life changes, huge transitions. Big D energy, not small day to day events.
The Minor Arcana: These cards represent more day to day events and life lessons, not huge transitions and life changes.
The Court Cards: These cards represent the human evolution and stages of mastery found in yourself and/or others, in the domains of thought, emotions, passion, and material resources.
By understanding the deeper meanings of these symbols, readings can become more insightful, leading to profound revelations.
Practicing Tarot: Rituals and Readings
Incorporating rituals into your tarot practices can enhance your experience. Consider these simple rituals to deepen your connection with your readings:
Cleansing Your Cards: Before using your tarot deck in a reading, it’s essential to cleanse it and clear it of past negative energies. Intention is everything. You can shuffle for a while until it feels neutral, say a small prayer, ask for blessed outcome, etc. Alternatively, you may use incense or sage to purify your deck, removing any previous energies. You get to decide how fancy you want it to be.
Setting Intentions: Prior to a reading, take a moment to set an intention. This may be a question you seek clarity on or a more general focus for your reading. Write it down and keep it in your mind during the reading. You need to ask the write question, something specific, not vague. Cards work by asking questions and if you don't actually ask a question, you don't get an answer.
A Note on Self Readings: In my opinion, it is very difficult to accurately read cards for oneself. We are clouded by what we want to be true, our past traumas, our biases, our unconscious beliefs. One card pulls for the self bring a lot more clarity then a full spread. At most, I wouldn't do more than a three card pull (past, present, future). If you want a full reading, do a trade with a friend. Or, pull a card for yourself every day but make the readings brief and concise so what you want to be true isn't clouded by what is actually true.
This structured approach to readings will lead to more meaningful insights and an enriching tarot experience.

Uncovering Deeper Insights
Tarot is not only about individual readings; it can also serve as a tool for self-discovery and healing. Regular practice encourages mindfulness and enhances self-awareness. Here are some practical ways to incorporate Tarot into your personal development:
Journaling: After each reading, take time to journal your thoughts and reflections. Alternatively, don't even do a reading - just pick a card then write about it. Write about the cards drawn and how they resonate with your current life situation. This practice can foster clarity and enhance understanding over time.
Meditation with Cards: Choose one card from your deck and meditate on its meaning. Visualize the symbols and colors of the card, allowing your intuition to guide you. This meditation can reveal new insights and deepen your appreciation for the cards. If the figure on the card could speak to you, what would it say? When have you embodied the energy of that card?
;
Community Engagement: Join a tarot community where you can share insights, ask questions, and offer readings to others. Engaging with fellow tarot enthusiasts can broaden your perspective and deepen your understanding of Moonlight Tarot.
Continuing Your Journey
